caramel sauce

A creamy, sweet and gooey caramel sauce; perfect for drizzling over sliced bananas for a healthy snack or with something a little naughtier such as a slice of our chocolate drizzle loaf!




80g medjool dates, pitted

150g coconut milk (just the thick white bit from the tin, not the water)

A tiny pinch of salt


Prep:  5 mins

Cook:  10 mins

Serves:  4





1.  Blend the dates with a little of the coconut milk to form a smooth paste.


2.  Put the date mixture in a saucepan with the rest of the milk and stir together.


3.  Bring to the boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
